Infrared Thermometer for the Food Industry
The HI 99551 thermometer employs infrared technology to measure surface temperatures. Infrared readings are extremely fast with a response time typically around 1 second.
One big advantage of this meter is the non-intrusive nature of measurements. This feature is particularly attractive for food distribution, retailing and markets since it translates practicality into savings by leaving products intact, especially those sealed or pre-wrapped.
In order to measure the temperature, simply turn on the meter and point to the product or target. Readings are displayed on the LCD. This type of non-intrusive measurement is also useful when the surface temperature is too high to approach, for difficult to reach places or for hygiene requirements.

A HOLD function freezes the display to allow the user time to record readings.
