Steam Baths are constructed of all stainless steel with welded joints, and fitted with a constant water level device.
The heating element is easily replaceable and has an inbuilt over heat protection device.
Water temperature is controlled by an energy regulator. The cover is removable for ease of cleaning.

SEM Heavy Acid Range Hotplates are suitable for extremely corrosive environments. This range of hotplates covers a variety of sizes in cast iron and aluminium on request.
The hotplate bodies are constructed entirely from heavy gauge 316 stainless steel and element connections are fully sealed.
Single phase hotplates are supplied with a 10 amp or 15 amp heat control box of cast aluminium construction. This can be free standing on rubber supports or fixed to a wall via mounting lugs.
Three phase hotplates are supplied with a robust switching unit housed in a powder coated heavy gauge steel box and a single phase cord to power the energy regulator and three pole relay.
Teflon coated aluminium or austenitic iron hotplates are available in most sizes and digital PID control with removable temperature probe is an option on any hotplate.

Compact design featuring continously variable speed control with speed to approximately 2000 rpm, with an adequately powered motor and strong Alnico bar magnet. Choice of energy regulator or thermostat control (optional). Hotplate diameter approximately 125mm, aluminium for good conductivity, PTFE coated (optional), supplied complete with stainless steel retort rod. The unit is of mild steel body and finished with a bright polyester powder coating for durability.

SEM Hotplates are suitable for all routine laboratory applications. They are rugged and durable and are available in a range of sizes and types designed for temperature uniformly over the whole top surface. The bodies are of mild steel, coated with white enamel or of stainless steel supported with rubber feet.
Cast iron top units are controlled with energy regulators, maximum 500°C. Aluminium top units are thermostatically controlled up to 300°C - Teflon "Silverstone" coated 280°C. Solid state instruments can be fitted for finer temperature control. Stainless steel surrounds can be supplied for sand bath heating.
A separate controller is supplied for the larger model 206 Cast iron top hotplate or for any other model when used in extremely corrosive environments. Special acid resistant element leads and 316 stainless steel is used on the heavy acid range of hotplates.

A specially designed portable incubator for use in clinical, public health, and small industrial labs. Also suitable for use in school and university laboratories. Double wall construction. The exterior wall is made of heavy gauge zinc coated steel finished in polyurethane enamel. The interior wall is stainless steel. Accurate temperature control is maintained by a hydraulic thermostat. Fitted with a carrying handle, rubber feet, a removable thermometer 0 to 100°C and a hinged door. Included is a combination Petri dish rack and test tube holder, 210 mm x 117 mm, with four shelves and 32 holes, each 17 mm diameter, for test tubes.
